Description
So where have I been!?
Well to be honest I've had a lot on, end of the University term, and I have Practical work at a local high-school.
But I thought I'd let you guys in on something awesome!
I am going to a supanova this year (Australia's Comicon) and this year I'm Poison Ivy off batman, however next year I want to look at a full armour costume. I have the craft and sewing skills to make my own costume so I'm going to give it a go.
Making your own Armour, Whether it be Halo, Iron Man, Star Wars Etc.
(The list goes on!)
Using this program you can print and assemble a 3D paper version of the piece of armour you are creating, in my case I'm creating a Rookie Halo helmet.

I am only using paper to PRACTICE!
Some people use paper all the time and resin in then put putty over the top to make it solid and durable. I however like the foam option, print off the peices without the tags and use that to cut out your foam peices, assemble using a high heat hot glue gun.
After you have assembled your armour you seal it and paint it.
For halo helmets, you need a visor, this you do by buying a replacement visor off ebay for a motorcycle helmet.
There are plently of tutorials out there and forums. I recommend the Hero Tutorials for those that want to use Foam.
Happy building!
